Evanston Jr. Wildkits Cheerleaders

About Us

The Evanston Junior Wildkit Cheerleading program was founded in 2010 and is open to athletes who will enter 2nd -8th grade in the upcoming school year. Along with Junior Wildkit Football, JWC is designed to teach the fundamentals of cheerleading while developing each athlete’s self-esteem, community pride, and concept of teamwork. These skills are essential to building successful athletes, students, and citizens. JWC works closely with the ETHS cheerleading program to structure our practices to simulate the high school environment. Cheerleaders are expected to commit at least 10 hours per week and are also expected to maintain good academic standing (click here to learn more about our academic guidelines).

JWC currently has two cheerleading teams:

  • Orange Squad: 2nd-4th graders
  • Blue Squad: 5th -8th graders
