2026 EJWK SUMMER CHEERLEADING

We are the Jr. Wildkits Cheerleading Team, a youth program based in Evanston, IL, serving girls ages 5–14. Our team is more than just a cheerleading program — we’re a family.

The first practice day is June 11th (weather permitting), 2026, at 5:30 pm. Practice is located at James Park by the big hill, next to the park.
Practices are every Tuesday and Thursday unless cancelled or changed by the directors.
This summer program fee is $65.00. This includes a $25.00 registration fee, $40.00 for a t-shirt, shorts, and bow.
This fee is due by June 26th, 2026.
This gives us enough time to order everything for the performance in the 4th of July Parade.
Details about the parade will be given out soon.




Our Mission & Vision
We are committed to coaching girls in the fundamentals of cheerleading while also building a competitive team for serious athletes. But beyond the stunts, chants, and routines, our purpose is bigger:

We focus on developing strong character, confidence, leadership, and lifelong values.

We create a positive and supportive environment where young athletes of all skill levels can grow as leaders, form meaningful friendships, and become role models on and off the field.

Through teamwork, mentorship, and community involvement, we help shape strong, kind, and capable young women — who lift each other up, literally and figuratively.

Whether on the sidelines or volunteering in our neighborhoods, our goal is to make a difference — one cheer at a time!

How You Can Support

To continue doing this important work and keep the program accessible to all families, we are seeking sponsors to support our 2025 season. Your sponsorship will help cover the costs of:

● Uniforms and gear
● Event and competition fees
● Snacks and travel costs
● Practice equipment and more

Sponsorships can be monetary or in-kind (e.g., snacks, water, printing services, etc.). Every contribution makes a difference and directly supports the growth and empowerment of our team.

2026 EVANSTON JR. WILDKIT FOOTBALL

Founded in 1994 the Evanston Jr. Wildkit Football & Cheerleading Program (EJWK) is a grassroots youth mentoring and football organization. We are excited to celebrate our 31st Season. For more than 25 years we were part of the
Central Suburban Youth Football League. The CSYFL had to shut down in 2021 and we have been playing in the the Chicagoland Youth Football League (TCYFL). This is a much bigger league with a variety of different levels
of football. This is tackle football. We are looking to do Cheer again this season, but we need volunteer coaches. Email Coach Nykel Himrod (jwcheer@gmail.com) if you are interested. Cheer has their own registration.

We are excited for this new opportunity to play new towns and continue our program.
